Renee Cole Montgomery joined the UCF Libraries in 2003. She received her master’s in library science from Florida State University and has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. She has worked 24 years in academic libraries. Most of her experience has been with reference, library instruction, outreach/engagement, and working with community groups such as high school students.

Renee currently serves as the Outreach & Engagement Librarian at The John C. Hitt Library. Her primary liaison areas are Health Management & informatics and Communication Sciences & Disorders. She also helps with Counselor Education & School Psychology, and Educational Leadership. She provides research assistance, library instruction, and collection development in these areas.
