International Graduate Student Welcome In-Person

The UCF Libraries wish to welcome our international graduate students to an in-person library orientation on August 13, 2025 from 2pm – 4pm. This two-hour event is designed for new and returning students. Attendees will learn how the UCF Library System supports you and your research. Rachel provides research support to the Nicholson School of Communication and Media and general education classes, like SLS 1501, ENC 1101, ENC 1102, and LDR 2001.

Monday-Friday appointments are scheduled via Zoom or in person. Typically, Monday appointments are held via Zoom only. If you need to meet outside of available appointment times, please email Rachel.Trnka@ucf.edu.

Rachel joined UCF libraries as an Instruction and Engagement Librarian in 2019 after working as an English faculty member at state colleges and universities in Florida and Oregon. She has an interdisciplinary background with a PhD in English, an MA in Liberal Studies, and an MLIS. Her research interests include information literacy instruction, online pedagogy, and library history.
